Therefore, it is possible to take action that will ensure its conservation and development, and at the same time, transform it in a welfare-generating factor for the communities where this resource is abundant.

The forest of Chihuahua and Durango provide Duraplay with the necessary raw materials for panel production. This generates 46% of the national timber-yielding forest production, that represents a source for raw materials of excellent quality that guarantee year-round supply. This creates a challenge with the ecological equilibrium and the company’s compromises to maintain stability.

That is why Duraplay actively participates in the initiatives of the forest industry to preserve and develop this resource.

The company is part of the founding group of the Chihuahua Forest Trust, which is a private fund conformed by the forest industry and different government agencies that provide economical resources to make possible the sustainable development of the Chihuahua forest.
